Retail Sales-Inventory Control Personnel 

We are seeking a Retail Sales-Inventory Control person for our York, Nebraska butcher shop.

This role will work closely with all other personnel at McLean Beef and be on the team that is responsible for the retail sales and inventory control of our meat products.

Job Duties and Requirements

· In store counter sales and special orders. Being the face of McLean Beef to the customer.

· Restocking of supplies for in store counter sales

· Manage meat vending machine and work with the Marketing Manager to have the proper products for it.

· Keep track of inventory in freezer, display freezer, display cooler and vending machines.

· Be on team that packages and ships online orders in a timely fashion.

· Track sales with Clover and provide sales data at the weekly team meetings.

· If excess inventory becomes an issue, create a sales plan to reduce inventory

· Help load finished goods into customers vehicles

· Manage incoming phone calls

· Coordinate prices across display monitor, scale, clover and posted labels.

· Take lunch and breakfast orders.

· Any other tasks requested by the Site Manager.

Job Experience

· Bachelors in Business, Marketing or Sales preferred

· Previous work in related role for 2 years

· Experience in customer relationship management

· Previous experience with Office Suite software (fluent in Microsoft Excel)



· Pay commensurate to experience $16.00 – $18.00.

Experienced Meat Cutter at McLean Beef, Inc. York, NE 68467

Job Description

Work in the fabrication/cut room of McLean Beef as breakdown specialist. This role is responsible in the accurate and expeditious breakdown of the carcass and/or operation of the bandsaw to further break down the carcass. Anyone applying for this role must have a high skill level and plenty of experience. This is not an entry level job. As a part of the application process, you will be asked to come for ½ day and work in our fab room to showcase your skills.

Wage per hour starting at $20.00 - Depends on experience and education.

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: prior butchery, 5+ year, raw meat cutting, 5+ years

Education: High School

Physical Requirements:

Must be physically able to lift up to 75+ pounds.

Must be able to be on feet (standing and walking) for up to 9 hours a day.

Working Conditions:

This position is continually exposed to a cool environment and dampness. There is frequent noise from the saws, exposure to cleaning and solvents. This is a fast-paced work environment.

Role Responsibilities

Processing of the carcass in the fab room.

• Breaking down of the carcass with a knife

• Working on the bandsaw to further breakdown the carcass

• Keeping track of the required paperwork and HACCP forms

• Must be able to read and write English
